“Terma” means ‘treasure’ and this itinerary is treasure finding journey taking you through Bhutan from west to east, visiting major cultural sites and towns. It features hikes through some of the most amazing landscapes of Bhutan from the gentle glacial valleys of Phobjikha in the west central to deep river valleys of Monggar of the east, going through still untouched jungles and by great waterfalls.
You can immerse in gentleness of eastern people and great storytelling of the western Bhutanese. All the while, keeping look out for ‘termas’ that destined personage throughout the history have found. There are legends and stories of how mystical treasures have led to great lineage and new settlements.
The itinerary features couple of domestic flights, during which one can see some of the highest mountain peaks in the world featuring highest peak of Bhutan – Gangkar Puensum (7540m), which is also the highest unclimbed peak in the world.
